(ps. again I don't know if these would work because I haven't tried them myself but I reckon a very think line of clear nail varnish (leave to dry before painting properly of course!) could work. I've not tried this myself so I don't know for certain, but I would suggest painting a thin line around the edge of the stencil (maybe use a glue spreader or a really fine paintbrush) using either PVA glue, clear nail varnish, or even a crayon.
